Meet Avery LoPriore, a 22-year-old YouTuber and gamer, most well known for his Grand Theft Auto and Fortnite videos on his self-titled YouTube channel. Based out of New Jersey, Avery has managed to rack up more than 2,100,000 subscribers, and over 161,000,000 views on his YouTube channel. Despite his quick climb to 1 million, Avery still grows an average of 114,000 subscribers monthly, according to SocialBlade.

Avery’s Monthly Gained Subscriber Chart

History

Avery was a Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty YouTuber before Fortnite’s initial release. He made partial success back in 2017 and gained about 100,000 subscribers from it. Shortly after the creation of his YouTube channel in April, 2013, he released his first video on July 4, 2013.

Breaking The Internet

It was the release of Fortnite that changed Avery’s life. Shortly after the release, Avery had fully changed up his channel and completely moved on to Fortnite, where he then became a professional player. He streamed Fortnite at least 6 times a week to about 20,000 people who would watch his stream and tune in daily. He collaborated with other large Fortnite streamers that also help contributed to the success of his channel. Right before hitting 1 million subscribers, he received a raid from Ninja, the world’s most recognized gamer. Said raid shot him past 1 million, exceeding his goals indefinitely.

His Time With FaZe Clan

On June 23, 2018, Avery was announced as a new member of FaZe Clan during a Friday Fortnite tournament as a Director. During the time Avery was in FaZe, he was invited to the FaZe house in California thanks to FaZe Banks (Owner of FaZe Clan). When Avery arrived, he was given a set-up off the bat to resume his streaming and YouTube career while at the house. Avery went back home to New Jersey in January 2019 to see his family. Avery’s friend, Andrew, became ill during his time back, and Avery wanted to stay home so he can have friends and family near-by. He felt more relaxed living his home town’s lifestyle. Avery started to have less passion about being a member of FaZe, so he decided to contact FaZe’s management and ask to leave the organization on June 2019 in good terms.

What We Can Learn From Avery

In the gaming world, the hottest game is always changing. Avery had made a huge decision to leave his Call of Duty and GTA past behind him to pursue Fortnite. Little did Avery know, that decision was going to change his life. The same thing goes for the business and entertainment world. The hottest topic, startup, or even marketing strategy is always changing. A theory commonly thought of in most entrepreneurial minds is “No Risk, No Reward”, and Avery set a perfect example for said theory with his internet success.

Avery is still pursuing his Fortnite career to this day, and can be found streaming on a daily basis here.
